Estudio Garrido Abogados and Estudio Aranguren advised Omega Grains LLC and Sociedad Comercial del Plata S.A., respectively, in the first round of financing by which the latter suscribed 36% of the capital stock of the US firm.
The transaction was made by a capital contribution in Omega Grains LLC of U$s 1,800,000 and a call option for one year to acquire an additional 14%.
The prupose of Omega Grains LLC, a Delaware limited liability company is the research, development, production and commercialization of seeds that are used to produce second generation biodiesel and other derivatives. Omega Grains LLC owns 100% of Chacraservicios S.R.L., a subsidiary that develops similar activities.
